A MySpace obsession

Perhaps it's the lack of other distractions or maybe just a desperate vie for attention, but I seem to have fallen into the hadean masses, doomed to spend my existence trying to convince people I don't know to tell other people I don't know that they are my friend.

I am of course talking about MySpace the self-proclaimed 'networking' tool, which everyone knows is just the world's largest popularity contest. Against my better judgment I've recently jumped onto this bandwagon of the damned, creating myself a profile and checking its progress far too frequently.

Yet I cannot seem to bring myself to delete this indiscretion. So I have retreated here to a blog of my own, hopefully I will be safe from its reaches here in my forgotten little corner.

I haven't been sucked into the myspace void...yet. But I'm dinfinately hook-line-and-sinkered as far as blogging goes.

Yes, yes, do! That would be cool. You could do a presentation on why the old fossils of humanoids are infact not fake or on how evolution works. Unfortunately, I think everyone who turns up to these talks probably knows that...but I suppose its like having sermons, preaching at people who dont need it...anyway, I'm going to stop rambling. You always seem to have something interesting and insightful to say. You'd give a good talk =).

Hooch I would very much like to at some stage but, and sorry to disappoint Rupert here, I won't be able to this week as I've three papers and an article to write in the next three weeks that I have yet to start. I love how scholarly that makes me sound.. Yes perhaps another time.

don't forget to google "kyle sellers"...you know what I'm talking about. I can't make an evil post about my evil plan, because then that will come up on google as well. I hope comments don't come up, do they?

hehe...jellibabi's "kyle Sellers" (onefootdowntherabbithole)is now at the top of the 7th google page (a couple of weeks ago it was halfway down page 8).

you so realise i'm going to invade your comments to make random useless remarks until you make a new post! (well, i'll probably continue doing it even after you make a new post, but I just won't tell you that)

noooooooooooooooooo!

Dear Colin,

I am far from delighted in informing you that our beloved MTG has deserted us for greener (or perhaps shorter) pastures (or should that be pastas?).

So now, the pressure is on. Now I have nothing to read, so you'd better get posting or there'll be trouble!

xx Fiona.

PS. Please follow the above instructions re "Kyle Sellers".

Fiona,
It is most saddening to hear of our dear MTG's departure, how are we to while away our spare hours at uni now?

Yours
Colin

And then there's the tradgedy of you not having made a post in 2 months. I don't care about this mopey-lovesick-stalker types - Colin and Fiona can go jump for all I care!

Give me come cynical quickwitted commentary on the trials and tribulations of Adam and I'll be a happy duck.
